Jesse Shaw is a furniture designer who uses traditional building methods in his contemporary designs. In 2005, Shaw trained at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship, After a nine month comprehensive course Shaw was awarded a full one year Fellowship where he honed his craft leaning from master woodworkers who passed though the school. He served as a faculty assistant at the Center, as well as Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts and Savannah College of Art and Design. In 2008, he has attended Savannah College of Art and Design, obtaining his Masters in Furniture Design. His thesis project explored the function of spiral forms found in nature. As a graduate student Shaw has participated in design shows such as Neo Con, High Point, Architectural Digest, The Philadelphia Museum of Arts and Crafts, The Wharton Eshrick Museum as well as others. Upon graduation Shaw moved to Atlanta where he now works as a Furniture Designer at Currey and Company a manufacturer of fine home furnishing products. <script type="text/javascript">
